After many, many years away from the piano, I've finally started playing and taking lessons again. It might be true that you "never lose it", but wow — after ten minutes practicing my hands are already sore. And to think I used to be able to do an hour-long choir practice sessions without even blinking...

Anyway, unlike going through Conservatory, I've found a style of music I actually want to play: boogie-woogie. As it turns out, it's a very interesting style because your left hand has to pretend to be the drummer/bass player and act completely independant of the right. All. The. Time.

It sounds easier than it is :)

For some reason, I've become stuck on the idea of learning how to play Swanee River. Here's one of my favourite versions of it.
